In my 12 years as a Systems Engineer, I’ve spent over 2,000 hours in airport lounges and on multi-leg flights from London to Singapore. My job requires precision down to the micro-inch, yet paradoxically, my luggage was always an out-of-control mess.

The turning point was a cold November night in Frankfurt. My flight was delayed, my checked bag was lost, and I had to present to executives the next morning in sweat-stained technical gear from the site.

It was a humiliation of identity. No professional should ever have to endure that loss of control.
